Glaia

 

UoB Spin out company Glaia has secured £1 million in new investment in a deal led by Green Angel Syndicate, the UK’s largest network of specialist investors fighting climate change.

The investment will allow the company to commercialise their carbon-based ‘sugar dots’ technology, which reduces emissions from crops by 30% when applied to the plants.

Glaia is led by Dr. David Benito-Alifonso and Dr Imke Sittel, both formerly of the School of Chemistry. Read more in the press release.
